So called 'serious' hill walkers in Scotland are generally to be found in places like the Highlands or on the islands like Skye.   Visitors to this area of SW Scotland will miss out on a unique experience if they fail to take time to walk up into the hills  or down along the coastline.  But please don't just take my word for it, at the very least have a look at this virtual tour.
